PCCFA/PACCD Memorandum of Understanding on Assessment Responsibilities for Faculty

1. All faculty members are expected to use the results of the assessment of learning outcomes to inform and improve teaching and learning in accordance to accreditation standards.

  • A. Full-time faculty members are expected to participate in the development and assessment of student learning outcomes and to report the results of class assessments according to mutually agreed upon established procedures.
  • B. Full-time faculty members are expected to participate in the development and submission of Annual Assessment Reports and to integrate results of assessments into Program Review.
  • C. Adjunct faculty members are not responsible for any assessment work unless they receive an explicit written request from their respective Dean asking them to assess the SLO and to report the results. In these cases, an adjunct faculty member shall be paid $100.00 per course to administer the SLO assessment and to submit the “Assessment Report Form” (attached). If the assessment and associated scoring rubric do not exist for a particular course SLO, the adjunct faculty member shall be paid an additional $250.00 per course to develop the assessment and rubric.
  • D. Requests for payments of stipends will be made to the Dean of Instructional Support at the time the “Assessment Report Form” is submitted.
